Transfers

Paying with cash or another non-MyWAVE method? Ask your driver for a paper transfer ticket and show it when you board your second vehicle.

Using MyWAVE? No paper ticket is needed. Just tap your MyWAVE card or app again when you board your second vehicle, and your free transfer will be applied automatically.

Cash is accepted onboard the bus. Please have your fare ready when you board.

Pay with MyWAVE

You can pay with your MyWAVE card, the MyWAVE app, or MyWAVE passes. Mobility MyWAVE cards for paratransit are sold at the GM&O Transportation Center for $4 and can be reloaded.

Pay in the Second Line Transit app

Add a debit, credit, or prepaid card when you create your account. Your card is charged automatically after your ride. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also accepted.

How to get a MyWave card:

  • Bring the proper documentation to the GM&O Building Location (110 Beauregard Street, Suite 104 Mobile, AL 36602).
  • Cost for the card is $4.
  • To qualify for the discounted fare passes, please bring the proper documentation to the GM&O.
    • Disabled Riders: Please bring official documentation from a medical provider, government agency, or authorized counselor verifying your condition and how it impacts your daily activities.
    • Medicare recipients need a valid Medicare Card. 
    • Students need an up-to-date Student ID.
    • Seniors need a valid government ID.
  • Recertification occurs every 3 years.
